Transferring Scholar Scores

Wow, it is Week 7! Hope you all enjoyed your 3 day weekend.

As we progress through the term we are starting to see some common occurrences. Scholar schedule changes are something that, as teachers, you will always have to deal with and there are a few things that can make this process easier.

If you have a scholar that changes from one of your classes to another one of your classes, there are options to transfer grades from one of your gradebooks to another.

Step 1: is to go to the gradebook that the scholar originated (the first gradebook). Click on the gradebook to open it. Right now, only the scholars that are active in that gradebook will show up. In order to see the scholar that has transferred, you must filter.

Click on Filter and choose all students. This will make all scholars who were originally in that gradebook available to choose.

Step 2: is to choose the scholar that has trasferred. Once you have done that, we need to enable score transfer.

Step 3: Navigate to the gradebook that the scholar is now a part of and click on the scholar's name.

Step 4: Once you click on Transfer Gradebook Data, you will be asked to align the appropriate assignments so that the scores will end up in the correct space.

You can align by Name or by Date. You will also need to select the gradebook that was the original source. Then click Next.

Step 5: This is where you are able to align the assignments, choose to ignore and import the scores.

Once you hit import, the scores for that scholar will be transferred into the most recent gradebook they should be in.

Of course, there will be times when you will need to enable score transfers for scholars that you no longer have in class. In these cases, you would only have to enable score transfer and the receiving teacher would then be able to transfer the gradebook data if necessary.
