Week 10 brings us to our first elementary grading period. The grading period window opens on Thursday, November 1 and closes on Monday, November 5. What this means is that you can post grades any time in the middle of that window.
Posting Grades in Illuminate --this help doc will walk you through how to post grades for the end of the 1st Quarter.
Step 1
Navigate to the gradebook you wish to post.
Step 2
Click on Assignments--> Post Grades
Step 3
Align the grading scale. The grading scale should already be populated, you are just checking to make sure it matches.
Step 4
Choose the group of scholars for which you would like to post grades; current, inactive or all.
Step 5
This is the screen where you will see the gradebook score for each scholar. The final grade defaults to match the GradeBook Score. You can also copy the gradebook score individually for scholars.
Or you can scroll down and use the button below to choose the GradeBook Score as the Final Grade for all scholars.
If you click on Use GradeBook Scores as Final Grades it will be outlined in Blue.
Step 6 (optional)
At this point you may add comments in the field. There should be a variety of comments available to choose from. (Please consult your Leadership Team for the appropriate protocol)
Step 7
Click Save, if you have some grading to do and would like to finish at a later time. Or if you are ready to publish, click publish. You will get a screen that will ask if you are sure you want to publish, click yes.
