Welcome back!! We have great news, as we talked about earlier in the year, the integration of Google Classroom and Illuminate is now a reality.
This is a great advantage for those of you using Google Classroom with your scholars. It will allow you to automatically transfer scores from Google Classroom assignments to your Illuminate gradebooks and you can also assign Illuminate assessments and make them available in Google Classroom. I will go into more detail below on how to utilize this integration but we will need to get through a few housekeeping matters first.
In order to make this intetgration possible (Live for Catalyst on November 30 at 4 pm), we need to make a slight change in how you, as teachers, sign into Illuminate. Sign in for scholars will not change (either for GC or Illuminate). This Friday, November 30, we will switch the Illuminate side of things for teachers to be a single sign on with Google. What that means is that when you go to Illuminate, you will be able to click on the sign in with Google button and that will take you to the tile page of Illuminate (provided you are signed into Google in your browser). If you are not signed in to Google, you will get a screen to sign into your Catalyst Google account (full email address and password), you will then be redirected to Illuminate.

Once you hit the Sign in with Google button, if you are signed in with Google--you will go to the Illuminate home tile page.
If you are not signed into Google, you will need to use your Catalyst credentials to sign in.

So, to recap the sign in procedure.
*On Friday, November 30, we will switch the Illuminate sign on to Google Sign-on.
*To sign into Illuminate after Friday, you should click on the "Sign in with Google" button.
*If you are already signed into Google in your browser, you will be taken to home tile page of Illuminate.
*If you are not signed into Google in your browser, you will be asked to sign in with your Catalyst Google credentials (full email and password). Remember: these credentials are the same as your Outlook credentials.
If you have any questions about the process, please let us know. We will be sending our reminder emails from Help Desk to remind you when the change will be made.
Now for the exciting part of what this means for you and your scholars.
